Our 11th Annual Adopt-A-Family will begin accepting
applications for residents in need of some extra help this year at
Christmas on October 2nd. To apply, call the Groveport Madison
school of your
youngest child and request an application be sent
home. Complete the application and return it to the school. They
will forward it to us for further processing. If you have children
younger than school age, email us at with
your address so an application can be sent home.

Applications for adoption by an Angel are accepted Oct 1-Dec 1
Those received after Dec 1 will be served by one of our other

We also welcome "Angels" who help to fulfill the Christmas wishes
to residents in our community who are in need of some extra
help. There are a couple of ways to support the program:

1) "Adopt" a family where I provide you with the shopping list and
your employees can select from the list what they want to buy.
Each child receives coat/hat/gloves, socks, pjs, underwear and 2
wish list items (I vet those before you get the list so there is
nothing crazy on it, like XBOX 360 or such). And each family gets
a box of non-perishable food items for breakfast and lunches
while the kiddos are home from school on winter break and a
minimum $25 gift card for perishable items we can't distribute.

2) Support our "Abundance Alley" with new toys and gifts. This is
an opportunity for those who have received from us in the past
two years but can't be adopted again to "shop" from the
selections. We need gift items for all ages, 1-18 (15 and over
gifts are usually gift card so they can buy their own stuff). This
area also needs non-perishable food items for breakfast and

3) Money. We can always use that for the shopping day with
families who applied late or had an unexpected emergency close
to Christmas.

All families who apply do get Christmas. The only requirements is
that they must live in the Groveport Madison school district and if
they have received from us in the last two years, they can only
receive through #2 above. In addition to the gifts they do receive
food and can go through our gently used clothing and coats.
